Snapchat Vs. Instagram: The Need to be the Dominant Social Media Platform
My research topic is going to deal with two social media networks; Snapchat and Instagram. These two networks started off as two totally different platforms. In recent days, we are seeing that the two are starting to copy one another in certain aspects of their application. For example, Instagram created a "story" feature which is very similar to what Snapchat created. Snapchat, too, allowed users to upload "memories" (old pictures) to their story, one could only upload live pictures and now it is almost a play off of Instagram. I will research more why these once very different platforms became quite similar.

I noticed also that Facebook uses a picture editor similar to Snapchat's. I feel like one day someone is going to create the ultimate social media website/app that will incorporate all the ideas of the currently existing ones together.
